This organization came about partly because of Hurricane Harvey. When Harvey hit in August 2017 the urge to help was overwhelming. We could not stand by and watch our brothers and sisters suffer without doing something. Our community came together in a mighty force to fill a 15ft UHaul full of supplies to take to Texas and were delivered to Helping Hands. When Irma hit Florida, in September 2017, we took a 20ft UHaul to Tampa and delivered to Metropolitan Ministries. We again made the trip to Rockport, TX in early December 2017 to deliver Christmas presents. Christmas trees, decorations and food to more than 20 families. We asked ourselves, why stop there? Why not continue showing love, compassion and hope to everyone. Be a light! It's that simple!
